Volleyball, June evenings, tournaments organised by Soča: U18 mixed, Prvačina/Hit wins
23./28. - volleyball; Sovodnje; with the local municipal festivities there are some volleyball matches in Peča. Turnir za mešane ekipe under 81 se je končal z zmago Prvačina won the tournament for mixed under 18 teams. From 25th to 28th of June the matches of the main tournament will be played.

Volleyball, World League, Loris Mania', who will not play the next two matches against Russia, has been selected among the 19 players, who will participate to the OG
23./24. - volleyball; Rim; World League; the coach of the Italian National Team Anastasi gave some rest to our player Loris Mania, who will not play the next to matches (on Thursday in Florence and on Saturday in Rome) against Russia. Corsano will play libero. Anastasi published the list of the 19 players, who will participate to the Olympic Games in Beijing. On the list there is also our Loris Mania. The final version of the list will be published later on.

Bowling, Zamejsko prvenstvo: Mak wins against Primorje
23. - bowling; Štandrež; in the first round match of the B Group Mak from Štandreža won against Primorje from Prosek 8:0.

Volleyball, World League Loris Mania' will not play the two matches against Russia
23. - volleyball; Rim; World League; Italian's coach Anastasi did not select our player Mania, Meoni and Gavorro for the two matches against Russia. They will be resting. The 14 players selected for the match are: Birarelli, Cisolla, Corsano, Casoli, Della Lunga, Fei, Martino, Mastrangelo, Paparoni, Perazzolo, Sala, Tencati, Travica and Vermiglio. Cprsano will substitute Mania as libero.

Stunning celebration for Polet's 40th anniversary
22. - Opčine; with a stunning celebration and enthusiastic viewers at Pikelc, AŠD Polet celebrated it 40th anniversary . After the introductory speech by president Marino Kokorovec there were the speeches of numerous guests and the awarding of the best athletes and an interesting final programme.

Athletics, Claudia Coslovich 60,19 m in Gorica
22. - athletics; Gorica; at the Regional Championship of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region our athlete Caludia Coslovich, who plays for Sai Roma, won the javelin with 60,19 m and missed the mark for the qualification to Beijing's OG.

Volleyball, World League: Italy and Loris Mania win the second match against Korea 3:2
21./22. - volleyball; Ulsan (South Korea) World League, B Group; Italy won also the second match against Korea 3:2 (23:25, 22:25, 25:15, 25:19, 15:9).

Beach-soccer, Euroleague: Italy and Michele Leghissa looses against Switzerland, but it qualifies for the final part
20./22. - beach-soccer; Lignano; Euroleague; after winning against Andorra (8:2) and Poland (7:3) Italy, for which plays also our player Michele Leghissa, lost the match against Switzerland (pen.) 6:7 (5:5), but it did qualify for the final part of the tournament. Leghissa scored one penalty.

Basketball, Polet's women team will play in the B League!
22. - basketball; the Italian basketball federation announced that Polet's women team, who ranked second in the previous C League season, play in the B League in the next season.

Cycling, Pokal Alternativa sport and Memorial B. Škerk: excellent organisation by SK Devin
21./22. - cycling; Nabrežina, Praprot; SK Devin excellently organised two races, on Saturday for the 5th Alternativa sport Mountain-biking Cup within the Junior bike off Trophy. On Sunday the Memorial Bruno Škerk. To the first race participated 61 athletes from 16 teams, to the second 97 cyclist form 14 teams.

Mountain-biking: C. Leghissa first in Asiago
22. - mountain biking; Asiago; our cyclist Christian Leghissa won at the National Race, 7th race of the Serenissima Cup, to which participated 2,000 cyclists (among them also Simoni), in the Master 1 category and ranking absolute 12th. The track was 44 km long and a difference in levels of 1,700 m. Leghissa is first in the Master 1 category and the Overall Master ranking.

Basketball, Jadran celebrated the promotion to C1 League
21. - basketball; Repen; by offering dinner to players, technical personnel, members of the committee, sponsor representatives and other guest Jadran celebrated this year's victory and the promotion to the C1 League.

Meeting of Slovenian border sportsmen in Izola
20./21. - Izola; the traditional 32nd meeting of Slovenian sportsmen from border regions, which is organised by the Commission for sports at Slovenia's Olympic Committee, will be held in Izola. Also a delegation of ZSŠDI athletes will participate.

Soccer, Juventina: association with Pro Gorizia is on still, support the committee
20. - Štandrež; at AŠD Juventina'a AGM the main subject was the association with Pro Gorizia. The participants agreed that due to the lack of time it was not possible to carry out the process and they stressed the importance to support the committee and find new sponsors to strengthen the club's position. In the next days there will be also a meeting with ZSŠDI.

Table tennis, Italian Championship: Martina Milič wins bronze in mixed pairs
20. - table tennis; Tramin (Bocen); Martina Milič (Kras) in the 1st category together with Emanuele Desanti won the bronze medal in mixed pairs, but she lost the individual qualification matches.

Orienteering: 113 participants
20. - orienteering ; Padriče; Kulturno društvo Slovan from Padriče, in collaboration with Gaja's orienteering department, organised the 9th edition of the nigh orienteering... along the traces of wild boars. The event was very successful, since 25 groups and 113 participants participated.

Soccer, Trebče: Kraški turnir: Barattolo ranks first
2./20. - soccer; Trebče; at the Trebčah soccer field ended the First Edition of the Kraški turnir tournament, organised by Primorec. The Barattolo team won against Pizzeria Raffaele and ranked first.

20. - basketball; Opčine; with a short performance ended the first round of Polet's basketball camp, to which participated nearly 50 young athletes.

Bowling, beginning of the Zamejski tournament
19. - bowling; Zamejsko prvenstvo; with the B Group match where Zarja won against Nabrežina 5:3, began this year's Zamejsko prvenstvo. The second match of the first round between Mak and Primorje has been postponed to Monday so.

Sports camp in Doberdob
19. - Doberdob; in Doberdob there is a sports camp organised by ZSŠDI and four: OK Val, AŠZ Govolley, AŠZ Dom and Združenje staršev Romjan. To the first week participated 21 children.

Table tennis, Italian Championship: Tjaša Doliak and Elisa Rotella win bronze in 4th category
18. - table tennis; Tramin (Bocen); Kras' players Tjaša Doliak (born in 1992) and Elisa Rotella (1995) won the bronze medal in pairs in the 4th category. Among 38 pairs they reached the semi-finals, where they lost after four sets against the tournament's winners Laura Galiano and Rosaria Mauriello.

Tennis, Carr service tournament, pairs: Aleš and Borut Plesničar (Gaja) out
14./18. - tennis; Padriče; International Carr service tournament; Gaja's player Aleš Plesničar and Davide Cannone lost the first round match against Italians Bondaz and Livraghi 6:4, 7:6. Borut Plesničar and Croatian player Mario Sarič won the first match and lost the second round match against Italians Fava, Viola 1:6, 4:6. Single, qualifications, 1st round: A. Plesničar - B. Soccer, Alen Carli moves from Gradišče to Cosenza
16. - soccer; Gradišče; our player Alen Carli, who was one of this year's most important players of the Itala team from Gradišče, has signed a one-year contract with Cosenza, who has been promoted to the C2 League. In 1966 another of our players played for Cosenza, he goalkeeper Karlo "Bezik" Gergolet from Doberdoba.

Sport fishing, Under 21 World Championship: Devan Radovič wins two silver medals
5./15. - sport fishing; Novigrad (Hrvaška); Under 21 World Championship; for the Italian National Team played also TKP Sirena's athletes Devan Radovič and Andrea Lisjak. Devan Radovič ranked second both at individual and team level.

Skating, prestigious award for Tanja Romano
16. - skating; Saint Vincent; Polet's skater and world champion Tanja Romano received on Monday the prestigious "Zlata grolla za šport 2008" award. Among the awarded there are other important Italian athletes such as Cristian Zorzi, Carolina Kostner and others.

Karate, Topolino Trophy: A. Saražin ranks second
15. - karate; Casale Monferrato; Topolino Trophy; Andrej Saražin was among the best of his team and ranked second.

Motorcycling, Kawasaki Trophy: M. Emili third
15. - motorcycling; Misano Adriatico; Kawasaki Trophy; our racer Mitja Emili ranked third at the third race. The victory went to Antonello, who is now first.

Tennis, tournament Carr service: Aleš wins again
14./16. - tennis; Padriče; International Carr service; after winning the first round against his brother Borut 6:4, 6:3 Aleš Plesničar (Gaja) won the second round match against Leonardi (category 2.3) 4:6, 6:3, 7:5. On Monday he played against Rok Bonin from Koper.

FIVB Congress: new rule, also the second "libero", for Loris Mania an excellent news
15. - volleyball; Dubai; the executive committee of the International Volleyball Federation FIVB approved an important new rule: men and women teams will be composed by 14 players and they will have two liberos. This is an important news for our player Loris Mania, since he will be a regular player of the Italian National Team.

Volleyball, World League: Italy wins second match against Cuba (3:1)
15. - volleyball; Havana (Cuba); World League, B Group; after loosing the first match (2:3) Italy, for which plays our athlete Loris Mania' Italy won against Cuba 3:1 (26:24, 29:27, 24:26, 25:20). "Azzurri" are moving to Seoul, where they will play the second round of the tournament on 21st-22nd of June.

Tennis, Women C League: Gaja promoted to B League!
15. - tennis; Pegli (Genova); Women C League; Gaja won the match against TC Pegli 3:0 and has been promoted to the B League. Paola Cigui and Carlotta Orlando won 2:0 and Nina Šuvak 2:1. This promotion represents a huge success for our tennis and sport environment.

Bowling, Gaja's Grand Prix: 58 pairs
15. - bowling; Padriče; at the traditional Grand Prix tournament organised by Gaja, participated 58 pairs from our region. To the event participated also 4 Gaja's pairs. Two of Adegliacco's teams reached the finals.

Basketball, "Trieste loves basketball": at the All-Star game Jan Budin scored 3 points
14. - basketball; Trst; within the "Trieste loves basketball " manifestation there was also the All-Stars game, to which participated the best players of the team. Among them there was also our player Jan Budin, who played for the "White" team and scored 3 points. The Whites won against the Reds 99:89.

Sailing, European Championship 470 Class: Jaš Farneti and Simon Sivitz Košuta ranked 10th
14. - sailing; Gardsko jezero; European Championship 470 class; Čupa's athletes Simon Sivitz Košuta and Jaš Farneti ranked 10th in the silver group and absolute 41st.. They ranked 30th among European teams.

Soccer, Zgonik tournament: Bazovica wins ahead of Gročana
14. - soccer; Zgonik; at the sport center in Zgonik ended the 10.days long soccer tournament. The victory went to the Bazovica Crvena team, which surprisingly won the final match against Gročana Živ Texas.

Skating, Memorial Filippini: Francesca Roncelli ranked first in Misano Adriatico
12./13. - skating; Misano Adriatico; our athlete Francesca Roncelli, who plays for the Gioni team of Trieste, ranked first in the free programme at the international tournament Memorial Filippini ahead of Cianipasseri and Melani. Francesca ranked first also in the short programme.

Our player Michele Leghissa, who plays for the Italian National Team, sent us some pictures from the qualification tournament for the Beach soccer World Championship, which was held in Bedinorma (Spain) one month ago.

Volleyball, 1st Brothers Špacapan Memorial; Prvačina ranks first ahead of Val
9./13. - volleyball; Gorica; 1st Brothers Špacapan Memorial Tournament organised by AŠD Olympia; Prvačina wins the firs edition of the tournament, since they have won the final match against Val 3:0 (25:18, 30:28, 25:20). Sloga ranked third, after beating Olympia 2:0 (25:18, 25:17).

Soccer, Trebče: Kraški turnir tournament, end of first part, on Monday first quarterfinals match
2./12. - soccer; Trebče; at the soccer field in Trebče there is the first edition of the Kraški turnir tournament organised by Primorec. 6th round results. The first part of the tournament ended, on Monday the first quarterfinal matches will be played, on Wednesday the last two.

ZSŠDI organised an interesting conference in Nabrežina: "Survive or develop?"
5. - Nabrežina; at the Igo Gruden hall in Nabrežina the "Združenje slovenskih športnih društev v Italiji" organised an interesting conference: "Survive or develop?". To the event participated 22 sport associations, guests and other sport representatives. The event was hosted by Ivan Peterlin.

Soccer, Trebče: "Kraški turnir" tournament, 3rd round
2. - soccer; Trebče; at the soccer field in Trebče there is the "Kraški turnir" tournament organised by Primorec. 3rd round results. The matches are played every day from Monday to Thursday and the tournament will end on June, 19th.

Volleyball, OG qualification, 4th round: Italy easily wins against Algeria 3:0
31.5./4. - volleyball; Tokyo; Olympic Games qualification; Italy, for which plays also our athlete Loris Mania', easily won the 4th round match against Algeria 3:0 (25:15, 25:21, 25:20) thus ranking first. Azzurri will have to win three more matches in order to qualify for the OG. Loris did play very well. On Thursday Italy will not play.

Soccer, Il Giulia tournament: Vesna wins against San Sergio (2:1) and reaches the finals
4. - soccer; Trst; Vesna won the semi-final match against San Sergio in the overtime 2:1 (1:1) and reached the finals. Vesna will play on Friday, at 20.30, against San Luigi. Vesna's first goal was scored by Chermaz, whereas the second was scored by Boscolo.

Športna šola Polet/Kontovel end-of-the-season event
4. - Briščiki; nearly 100 young athletes participated to the Športna šola Polet/Kontovel end-of-the-season event, where they performed in gymnastics and mini-basket. The event was hosted by the coordinator Andrej Vremec.

Tennis, International tournament in Gradež: Paola Cigui out in the first round
3. - tennis; Gradež; international ITF tournament in Gradež; Paola Cigui (Gaja) lost the two-hours long match against Polish player Pastikova 3:6, 3:6.

3. - Prosek; at the Primorje premises there was AŠD Pomlad AGM. The new committee was elected and Paolo Gregorič became the new president. He is a former player and Zarja/Gaja's president.

Presentation of the Trieste loves basketball event, Jan Budin in one team
3. - basketball; Trst; at a press conference there was the presentation of the event Trieste loves basketball, which will take place on Saturday, 14th June. The main event, the All Star Trieste, will be played at 20.30. For one of the teams will play also Jan Budin, who plays for B2 League team Alike.

Sailing, 470 Class, Italian Championship: Jaš Farneti and Simon Sivitz Košuta ranked absolute fifth and first among juniores
31.5/3. - sailing; Benetke; Italian Championship in the 470 Class; Jaš Farneti and Simon Sivitz Košuta (Čupa) ended the championship ranking absolute fifth and first among juniores. Alessio Spadoni and Adriano Condello (Čupa) ranked absolute eleventh and third among juniores.

Volleyball, OG qualifications: Italy wins against Australia 3:0 and gets closer to Beijing, Loris Mania' scored 1 point as libero
31.5./2. - volleyball; Tokio; Olympic Games qualifications; Italy, for which plays also our Loris Mania' won the third round match against dangerous Australia 3:0 (25:17, 25:9, 25:16) thus ranking first. Azzurri are getting closer to the Olympic Games in Beijing. Loris played very well and scored 1 point. Azzurri will play against Algeria on Wednesday.

Volleyball, Sandra Vitez will not play for the National Team anymore this season
2. - volleyball; our player Sandra Vitez, after playing at the tournament in Abu Dhabi, decided that she will not play for the Italian National Team anymore during this season. Sandra, who will not play for the A1 League team Sassuolo, needs some rest.

Swimming, PK Bor: end-of-the-season event in Altura, awarding and meeting at the Lovska koča in Divača
31.5./1. - swimming; Trst; Divača; PK Bor organised the end-of-the-season event at the Altura pool on Saturday. On Sunday there was the awarding of the athletes at the Lovska koča in Divača.

Basketball, Under 15: Polet ranks third at the tournament in Pordenone
1. - basketball; Pordenon; Under 15 Women; at the tournament organised by Don Bosco Polet ranked third. Semi-finals: Abano Terme - Polet 92:41 (Bogatec 14, Kraus 10); third place final: Polet - Montebelluna 64:53 (Kraus 22, Bogatec and Budin 8).

Volleyball, OG qualifications: Italy's easy victory against Korea 3:0, today no matches
31.5./1. - volleyball; Tokyo; Olympic Games qualifications; after the incredible victory against Japan 3:2 in the first round, Italy, for which plays also our athlete Loris Mania', won the second round match against Korea 3:0 (25:18, 25:17, 25:21) and is ranked first. Loris played well. Today there are no matches and on Tuesday Italy will play against Australia.

Skiroll: Mladina's Grand Prix very successful: nearly 250 participants from five countries
1. - skiroll; Križ; the 15th International Grand Prix has been very successful. 250 athletes registered, but not all participated to the event, from many countries (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Poland).

Tennis, Gaja will play in the C League
1. - tennis; Bari; Men B League, play-outs; Gaja lost the return match against Angiulli Bari 2:4 and will thus play in the C League. Gaja's points were scored by Aleš Plesničar and Pogačnik.

Karate, 18th Zgonik Cup successful
1. - karate; Zgonik; 18th edition of the International Zgonik Cup, organised by Shinkai club, has been successful. To the event participated 140 athletes from 10 clubs from FJK and Slovenia. The victory went to Koper's Team Samuray, Shinkai club ranked fourth.

1. - soccer; Prosek; at the Ervatti field there was the traditional match Stari against Mladi. Stari won 6:3.

9./13. - volleyball; Gorica; 1st Brothers Špacapan Memorial organised by AŠD Olympia; two semifinals matches: Prvačina won against Sloga 3:1 and Val won against Olympia 3:1. Tonight: at 19.45: Sloga - Olympia; final match: Prvačina - Val

European Championship in the 470 Class: Jaš and Simon now12th
11. - sailing; Gardsko jezero; European Championship in the 470 Class; Čupa's athletes Jaš Farneti and Simon Sivitz Košuta ranked 11th and 22th in the silver group, thus ranking absolute 12th.

Volleyball, 1st Brothers Špacapan Memorial; tonight's semifinal matches: Prvačina - Sloga and Val - Olympia
9./12. - volleyball; Gorica; 1st Brothers Špacapan Memorial organised by AŠD Olympia; on the third day the C Group matches were played: Val won against Mossa and Soča 2:0, whereas Mossa won against Soča 2:0. Tonight the two semifinals matches will be played at 19.45: Prvačina - Sloga and Val - Olympia.

Sokol's volleyball camp: nearly 50 athletes
12. - volleyball; Nabrežina; to Sokol's volleyball camp participate nearly 50 otrok.

Basketball, C2 League, Jadran wins the second final match and is promoted to C1 League!

11. - sailing; Gardsko jezero; European Championship in the 470 Class; Čupa's athletes Jaš Farneti and Simon Sivitz Košuta ranked 13th, 9th and 15th in the silver group and currently abolsute 8th.

11. - soccer; Bilje; at the soccer field in Bilje there is the summer Coerver soccer school. To the event participae many young athletes from Slovenia and Mladost, Sovodenj and Juventina's teams.

ZSŠDI, meeting with the Regional Commissioner for Sport
11. - Trst; the new Regional Commissioner for Sport Elio De Anna met the delegations of the most important regional associations for the promotion of sport: UISP, AICS, CSI, Endas, Libertas, U.S. Acli amd ZSŠDI.

2./11. - soccer; Trebče; at the soccer field in Trebče there is the Kraški turnir organised by Primorec. 5th round results. The matches are played from Monday to Thursday until the 19th of June.

11. - tennis; Padriče; 37 young athletes participate to Gaja's tennis camp (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) until June, 27th.

Bor's volleyball camp
11. - volleyball; Trst; 27 athletes participate to Bor's volleyball camp. On this occasion a course of Slovenian language has been organised.

Basketball, C2 League, return match: Jadran Mark tonight in Žavlje
11. - basketball; Žavlje (Milje); C2 League, play-offs finals; Jadran Mark, which has won the first final match against Venezia Giulia from Milje 90:75, will try to win the second match, which will be held tonight, at 20.30 at the gym in Žavlje. If it was the match it will be promoted to the C1 League. If it looses, it will have to play the third decisive match on Saturday, June 14th, at 20.30 at the gym in Briščiki.

Table tennis, Italian Championship: Sonja Milič wins two gold medals and one silver
9. - table tennis; Tramin; Italian Championship; Sonja Milič (Kras) won two gold medals (as a player and mixed pairs) in the veterans category (over 50). With her teammate Dragica Blažina won the silver medal.

9. - Štandrež; at the first meeting held after the AGM, the new committee elected the new president Sandro Corva, who will subsitute former president Ivan Plesničar.

Volleyball, Saša Smotlak is Bor/Breg's new coach in Women D League
9. - volleyball; Trst; Saša Smotlak is Bor/Breg Kmečka banka's new coach. The team will play in the Regional D League. 30-years old coach has been a member of the team and has worked as an assitant coach of Silva Meulio, Sabrina Patuzzi and Marko Kalc.

Volleyball, 1st Špacapan brothers memorial: Olympia wins and looses, today three more matches
9./10. - volleyball; Gorica; 1st Špacapan brothers memorial; Olympia lost the first round match against Prvačina 1:2, but it won against Naš prapor 2:0. Prvačina then won against Naš prapor 2:1. Tonight, at 19.30, the following matches will be played: Fincantieri - Olympia B, Olympia B - Sloga, Sloga - Fincantieri.

Soccer, 42 athletes at Kras' camp
11. - soccer; Repen; Kras' soccer camp is getting more and more successful. To this year participated 42 athletes divided into three groups.

Volleyball, OG qualification, 7th round: Italy, for which plays also our Loris Mania', won against Argentina and will thus play at the OG in Beijing
31.5./8. - volleyball; Tokio; OG qualifications; Italy, for which plays also our athlete Loris Mania', won the 7th round match against Argentina 3:2 (25:19, 25:19, 22:25, 21:25, 15:5) and will thus play at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Loris played well nalogo.

B. Filipovič Memorial: Ribnica wins again
8. - chess: Opčine; international tournament Božidar Filipovič memorial; the Invec team from Ribnica, guided by master Robert Lončar, won again the tournament ahead of Societa' Scacchistica Triestina A and Koper 1. To the tournament participated 23 teams from our region, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. For SST Junior participated also our team of young players, who ranked last.

37th Meeting of Mountaneering associations
8. - mountaneering; Nabrežina; the Slovensko planinsko društvo Trst organised the 37th Meeting of Mountaneering associations, to which participated more than 200 mountaineers from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region (SPDT, SPDG, Planinska družina Benečije wih some bikers too!), from Slovenia (Koper, Globasnica, Kamnje, Kanal, Nova Gorica, Bohinjska Bistrica, Jesenice) and Austria (Celovec).

Basketball, Master Saba Tournament: Polet ranks third
7./8. - basketball; Trst; Master tournament; Polet ranked third at the tournament organised by the Saba team. After loosing the semifinals against Rijeka (83:100) Polet won the second match against Saba 82:72.

Basketball, C2 League, Jadran Mark wins the first final match against Muggia (90:75)
7. - basketball; C2 League; Briščiki; C2 League; Jadran Mark won the first final match against Venezia Giulia Muggia 90:75 (K. Ferfoglia 25, Oberdan 24). The second match will be played on Wednesday, at 20.30 in Žavlje. If Jadran wins this match, it will be promoted to the C1 League. If they loose it, they will have to play the third match, which will be held on Saturday at 20.30 at the gym in Briščiki.

Bowling, Mak celebrated its 20th anniversary
7. - bowling; Štandrež; Mak bowling team celebrated its 20th anniversary at the gym in Štandrež. Many political and other representatives were present.

12 hours of soccer in Štandrež
7. - soccer; Štandrež; players from Štandreža and Juventina organised the siwth edition of the 12 hours of soccer at the soccer field in Štandrež.

Volleyball, Damir Kosmina in the A2 League
7. - volleyball; Loreto; former Sloga's player Damir Kosmina (24 years), who has been promoted to the A2 League, will play for the team of Loreto in the A2 Leagu. His team, oderzo, renounced to play in the A2 League.

Bojan Pavletič, 80 years
7. - Trst; today, June, 7th, Bojan Pavletič celebrates his 80th birthday (he was born in Trieste on June, 7th 1928). Pavletič, who used to be an all-round sportsman, coach, professor and journalist has greatly contributed to the development of our sport in the after war time. We would like to wish him all the best.

Vipava and Dom na Peči successful
6. - Peč (Sovodnje); the end-of-the-season academy has been very successful, although the bad weather did reduce the number of participants.

Volleyball, OG qualification, 4th round: Italy easily wins against Algeria 3:0
31.5./4. - volleyball; Tokio; Olympic Games qualification; Italy, for which plays also our athlete Loris Mania', easily won the 4th round match against Algeria 3:0 (25:15, 25:21, 25:20) thus ranking first. Azzurri will have to win three more matches in order to qualify for the OG. Loris did play very well. On Thursday Italy will not play.

Soccer, Trebče: "Kraški turnir" tournament, 3rd round
2. - soccer; Trebče; at the soccer field in Trebče there is the "Kraški turnir" tournament organised by Primorec. 3rd round results. The matches are played every day from Monday to Thursday and the tournament will end on June, 19th.

Primorje, a new AGM is necessary
29. - Prosek; at the AŠD Primorje AGM, which took place at the team's premises, the new committee and the new president have not been elected. A list of 10 members of the committee has been drawn and in two weeks time there will be a new AGM and the new president will be elected.
