1. Skiroll - Adriaker Trophy; AŠD MLADINA excellent organization and victory of Mateja Bogatec among
seniors
Skiroll; Trieste; ; Within the Bavisela the AŠD Mladina organized the successful international KO sprint race for the 6th Adriaker Trophy to which participated 96 athletes of 14 clubs from Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.The race took place along the Trieste coastline. Mateja Bogatec ranked first among the seniors, among clubs Montebelluna ranked first, Mladina was second.

1./2. Skating - Regional championship: our athletes very successful in all disciplines; awarding of complusory
on Pikelc
Regional championship; Opčine; the first day (Saturday) there was in Opčine on the Polisportiva skating field the first match in compulsory figures, on Sunday the short and long programmes were held on Pikelc. Our skaters were the best in all the disciplines.

5. School sport; volleyball; Trinko regional champion, prof. Ivan Peterlin awarded.
School sport; Opčine; the volleyball players of the school Ivan Trinko from Gorica are the lower secondary schools' regional champions. In the semi-final they defeated the Udine champions; in the final match for the 1st place they won against the provincial champion of Pordenone 2:0.The final tournament was excellently organized by the Srečko Kosovel school from Opčine. The Physical Education Office awarded prof. Peterlin for his long years' work in the school field.

7. Šušteršic and Lukan in DŠNS
Ljubljana; at their annual meeting the Association of the Slovenian Sports Reporters elected the new president Jože
Zidar (42), sports reporter of the Slovene press agency (STA). Mario Šušteršic (Italy) and Ivan Lukan (Austria) were again elected members of the association.

9. SK Devin, Annual General Meeting
Križ; at the premises of Restaurant Bita there were the SK Devin 36th Annual General Meeting and the end-of-the-season awarding.

12./15. Skating; German Cup: Martina Pecchiar winner, Francesca Roncelli second , Luca Pecorari fifth
Skating; Freiburg (Germany); at the international competition German Cup Martina Pecchiari ranked first in the free programme in the jeunesse category. Francesca Roncelli ranked second, Luca Pecorari was fifth. (in the picture before the departure). The skaters were accompanied by the federative and Polet coach Mojmir Kokorovec.

15./16. Chess; National School Championship: Prešeren students second in Italy
Chess; Caorle; the schoolgirls of the High School France Prešeren from Trieste were excellent second at the National School Championship in Caorle.In six games they gained 4 victories, once they were even, and they lost in the last decisive game against the final winners from Barletta.

19. Invalids sport, Regional Games in Dutovlje: 10 medals for VZS Sklad Mitja Čuk
Invalids Sport; Dutovlje; 200 athletes from 17 institutes participated to the 17th Regional Edition of the Special Olympic Games organized by the Institute from Dutovlje. VZS Sklad Mitja Čuk athletes won 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals.

22. Gymnastics, successful ŠZ Bor academy
Gymnastics; Trieste, the ŠZ Bor traditional end-of-the-season gymnastics academy was very successful. 60 young gymnasts showed 25 performances.

23. Skiing - Primorska Cup: awarding in Križ
Skiing; the fifth Primorska Cup and the 6th Alternativa Sport Cup; numerous young skiiers and guests participated to the awarding in Križ in the park of Ljudski dom (Restaurant Bita). The welcome speech was held by the President of the ZSŠDI Skiing Commission Ennio Bogatez.

27. Primary School Olympics: 225 participants
School sport; Trieste; 225 pupils participated to the traditional Primary School Olympics at the 1. Maj stadium. The games were organized by "Športna šola Trst".

28. Gymnastics; Olympia: excellent success of the-end-of-the season academy "Mi gremo na morje"
Gymnastics; Gorica; in the crowded gym hall of the sports centre Špacapan there was the traditional end-of-the-season academy "Mi gremo na morje". The academy was extremely successful.

30. Karate - Zgonik Cup: mass participation and excellent Shinkai Club organization
At the Sports and Culture Centre in Zgonik there was the 20th Zgonik Cup in traditional karate to which participated 200 athletes from Slovenia and our region. It was excellently organized by the Shinkai Club.

30. Skiroll - despite of bad weather great success of the 20th international Mladina grand Prix
The AŠD Mladina organized the 20th international Grand Prix Alpe Adria to which participated 177 athletes from 14 countries.The event was successful in despite of importunating rain. The only winner among the Mladina athletes was Niki Hrovatin, Mateja Bogatec ranked second.

27./ 30. Volleyball; Under 14; National final in Caserta: Olympia 11th in Italy
Volleyball; Caserta, Under 14, men, national final: Olympia, the FVG champion ended the tournament with 3 victories and 4 defeats. In the final for the 11th place Olympia boys defeated Lamezia (Calabria) 2:0 ( 25:17, 25:13 ) and ranked 11th. (In the picture: from the presentation of the team)

28. / 30. Volleyball; Italy defeated Turkey 3:0 (Černic 5 points) and qualified to the European Championship
Volleyball; Gioia del Colle (Bari); second round of qualifications for the European championship; Italy with our two athletes Matej Černic and Loris Mania' won against Belarus 3:0 (Černic 8 points), Romania 3:0 (Černic 4 points) and Turkey, qualifying thus to the European championship. In all the three matches Mania' did not play.

31. Volleyball; Matej Černic moves to Poland, to the club Asseco Rseszov
Volleyball; Rsezsov (Poland); in the season 2010/2011 our volleyball player and Italian national representative Matej Černic (in the picture) will play for the Polish 1st League team Asseco Rsezsov.In the last season he played in the A1 League for Perugia which highly disappointed and is now also in serious financial troubles.
