1st Chess: Mitja Oblak and Lejla Juretič minority champions
Chess, Briščiki: 24 players attended the minority championship at the "Dom Briščiki". The new minority champion among men is for the first time Mitja Oblak, among women Lejla Juretič won the title for the third time.

1st Archery: Karen Hervat national champion
Archery, Rimini: Karen Hervat (former archer of the club Zarja who now competes for Ascat), won the national championship in the category of girls with 552 points.

2nd Volleyball: Olympia won the regional cup! In the finale defeated VBU 3:2! Jernej Terpin MVP
Volleyball, Gorizia: in the final tournament for the men C-league, hosted by the club Olympia. Semi-finals: Olympia – Mortegliano 3:0; Fincantieri – VBU 2:3; 3rd place: Mortegliano – Fincantieri 2:1; 1st place: Olympia – VBU 3:2. Olympia is the regional cup champion! Jernej Terpin (Olympia) is the MVP of the final tournament. In the picture: the winning team Olympia.

8th: Trieste: recognition for the "azzurri" from Slovenian clubs
In the building of the Municipality of Trieste, in the presence of Mayor Roberto Cosolini, were awarded nearly 80 athletes from Trieste, who in 2013 represented the Italian national team. Among them there were also some athletes, who are members of Sloveninan clubs. In the picture, from left: Marina Pecchiar, Simon Sivitz Košuta, Carlotta Omari, Jaš Farneti, Francesca Russo Cirillo and Matia Ugrin.

9th: National Championship: An excellent third place for Sofia Carciotti
Diving, Trieste: Sofia Carciotti (Triestina Nuoto, in the picture: the first from the right) has reached an excellent third place during the Italian Indoor Championship in the pool Bianchi. First place for Noemi Batki (Centro Sportivo Esercito), second place for Brenda Spaziani (Fiamme Azzurre).

12th: Winter Olympics – Also "our" golden Tina Maze
Gorizia, Trieste: Tina Maze (in the picture) won the gold medal in downhill at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The entire Slovenia celebrates this great achievement and also the minority is very proud of it. President of the ZSŠDI Ivan Peterlin congratulated with Tina on behalf of our sport movement. Vili Prinčič wrote for us a short story and two pictures about Tina Maze in Gorizia.

15th: Trieste, CONI recognition for out coach Franko Drasič; an award also for the archer Karen Hervat
Trieste: our volleyball coach and sports worker Franko Drasič (in the picture) was awarded by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) in the great hall of the Chamber of Commerce for his long-standing work in the field of coaching. Among six fifteen-year old students also our archer Karen Hervat (Ascat) was awarded for her successes at school and in the sports field.

16th – Athletics: great result for the girls from club Bor, Sophie Aniaku regional champion
Athletics, Udine: at the provincial winter championship for youth categories the female athletes from club Bor achieved excellent results. Sophie Aniaku (2001) reached the first place with the time of 8.68 in the 60m.
